DESIGN. ITALIAN SPORTS PERFORMANCE.With the introduction of the new 300 cc engine, the Gilera Nexus has alsoevolved in design to combine improved protection with typically Italian sportsperformance.The Nexus 300’s modern lines focus on the front of the scooter to create adynamic, sporty look while the slender, agile tail conveys a clear impressionof the Nexus’ exuberant nature.The headlight cluster maintains the Gilera family look and gives the Nexus 300a particularly penetrating profile. The dashboard incorporates analog anddigital instruments with elegant red backlighting. On top of the generousfront shield, the windshield can be adjusted in heightto guarantee unrivalledcomfort in all weather.The seat has been completely redesigned using new materials for greatercomfort and a perfectly ergonomic sitting position.A broad and comfortableplatform allows you to adopt three different riding postures and remainrelaxed at all times. The passenger also has two generously sized fold-awayfootrests. The 34 litre under-seat storage compartment is big enough to holdtwo helmets (one full-face and one semi-jet), confirming the rational designof the Nexus 300. Because though conceived to delivery maximum riding thrills,the Gilera Nexus never forgets that it also excels as an urban scooter.PERFORMANCE CHASSIS.The chassis of the Gilera Nexus 300 has evolved to keep pace with theincreased engine power.The most important development is the larger, 15” frontwheel that offers obvious benefits in terms of road holding and precision.The Nexus 300 uses the same frame as the powerful 500 cc version, madeentirely from high strength tubular steel. Rear suspension comes in the formof two robust and dependable shock absorbers with three spring preloadsettings for optimum damping and control. At the front the Nexus 300 isequipped with a hydraulic telescopic fork with 35 mm stanchions. The brakingsystem features a 260 mm disc and a two-piston floating caliper at the frontand a 240 mm disc with a two-piston floating caliper at the rear. The frontwheel, now 15” in diameter, is equipped with a 120/70 tyre. The 14” rear wheelboasts a sporty, large section 140/60 tyre.COLOUR SCHEMES.The Nexus 300 comes in a choice of three colour schemes: sporty anduncompromising Dragon Red, and sporty but elegant Graphite Black and AmbitionGrey.ACCESSORIES.In keeping with its ‘dual role’ of sports scooter and comfortable commuter,the Gilera Nexus 300 is accompanied by a range of accessories to make it evenmore usable and functional.- 33 litre top box (large enough to hold a full-face helmet), complete withmatching finish lid, and mounting plate.- Scooter cover in red textile with Nexus logo- Leg cover in waterproof and resistant fabric.- E-Power electronic alarm, complete with wiring.
