Cagiva 500 River

A rather rare machine from Italian manufacturer Cagiva,the River is a simple, unassuming commuter machine with some pleasing designtouches. Powered by an elderly single-cylinder air-cooled engine, theRiver's moderate power and economical running makes it ideal for commuting.The River is also cheap to insure and eligible for the limited Al licenceclass in Europe. The chassis is rather higher-spec, with a twin-spar frame,upside-down forks and monoshock rear, while Brembo disc brakes front andrear ensure trouble-free stopping. A small screen and stylish sculpted fueltank increase the River's appeal, and it coiild also be supplied withfactory-approved hard luggage panniers, further enhancing its commuter role.
